CK One Current

So Unrelated news... I entered a blogger of the month contest and used my manicure from March with the pink girly designs... if you liked that I would love to have your vote by clicking on this link and clicking on my entry (towards the bottom, not the picture but the selection button) Now onto this FABULOUS POLISH!!!

HOLY CRAPAMOLI!!! This polish is scented with CK One! Like the perfume, LIKE THE PERFUME!!!
So I have some Calvin Klein nail polish... I bought it cheap from Tuesday Morning... it comes in a tiny squarish rectangular bottle. It also may or may not be knock off stuff, but it seems pretty legit to me. On the other hand I dont have any of the CK One polishes in the long tube bottles, until now! I resisted because the colors werent all that great and they are 14 bucks a pop at Ulta. I am however a sucker for anything labeled "Limited Edition" which was what caught my eye with Current (also I was holding a bottle of polish in pretty much the same color from another brand). But what makes this polish so special? THE SCENT!!!!
The color is fairly unique... its got a touch more of a brown hue to it than the pictures make it out to be, think less neon more split pea soup.

This is without topcoat.... BECAUSE IT FREAKING SMELLS LIKE CK ONE! Nuff said..... but I'll say more anyways.
There was another color that is part of this special edition collection, its called Riptide and its blue. If the smell on Current lasts all day at work tomorrow then I will buy Riptide DAMMIT! Because I think this is pretty nifty.
All my favorite perfumes should come in polish form! Can you imagine an electric blue Ralph by Ralph Lauren? Or a yellowish tinged orange Happy by Clinique? I would die!

Any suggestions for perfume polishes? C'mon!

Revlon Coconut Crush

Ok, I love these scented polishes! Coconut Crush was a no brainer for me: I love coconut!

Even thought this looks pretty white, its actually off white. Its got just a bit of buttery color to it. This is three coats, they go on pretty thin and the formula is cuticle-flood prone so be careful! The coverage is much better than I thought when I was painting!

I did use a topcoat although maybe next time I wont because although a topcoat did not kill the smell, I bet it does dull it like it did with Raspberry Rapture. I LOVE THE SMELL OF THIS. When I smell this I am trasported back to Noosa Heads Beach. We used to rent a house on the canals for a week, canoe, swim, eat, and just relax. My favorite part was the beach (or the shopping) and there was a snow cone cart on the northeast side where I would get coconut snow cones everyday, the perfect treat in the heat. Le Sigh, this polish reminds me of how I want to go back now! For the rest of you without imagination it really smells like coconut conditioner... I guess.
I'm ready for summer!

What polishes transport you away? Any that bring you to summer even on cold winter days like today?

Revlon Raspberry Rapture

Raspberry Rapture is one of Revlon's scented polishes. It smells kinda like candy and is a bit strong but after a topcoat the smell was a bit more muted and better.

I LOVE this color, I dont actually own much pink but this was the one I thought I would like the smell of the most, they have a super pretty blue... but it's like ocean scented or something and I dont really like the smell much. I have too much purple to buy the grape but I bet I would like that one more.
Back to the color, I thought it would be really hot pink but its a bit more on the red-ish side, it is definitely pink... its pretty true to the picture.

This is two coats with topcoat, it was a really smooth formula and very opaque. If you were better than I you could do it in one! The small clay flower is from a set I bought at Sally's beauty supply. It was cute and I thought it would go together with the color and smell; the smell lasted until the next evening.

I think I'll buy the grape... I dont have much Revlon polish but I really liked the formula of this one, PLUS they are one of the mainstream 3 free brands... so thats nice.

What do you think? Do you have any scented nail polish you like a lot?
