MAY GIVEAWAY!!!! Julie G Frosted Gumdrop Polishes

Hey everyone! I bought a couple sets of Julie G Frosted Gumdrops from Groupon at the end of April and I want to give you the chance to have your own set! Giveaway is open to the U.S. only.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The first color is Tangerine Dream

Orange is one of my favorite colors and this came out so sparkly and jelly like, it really looked like candy. This is three thin coats of orangey goodness (it reminds me of orange soda)

This next color is Sugar Rush

This is only two coats! Its more opaque probably due to the darker color. This is one of my favorites from the set... its my kind of color, a reddish orange!
Also I cant stop singing this song from Wreck-It Ralph (just the English part) S-U-G-A-R Jump into your racing car! Sugar Rush!

This next color is Hot Cinnamon

This red a dream to apply, its also probably the fastest drying (and quite possible the only picture of a dry polish on my blog). These three are more of a jelly/crelly type of polish. They totally look like gumdrops in that aspect. The next three are metallic definitely.

This next one is called Crushed Candy

This is my other favorite from this set! I LOVE this color (its more of a lavender magenta) and consistency. It went on smoothly and opaque in two coats. Its a really nice color and SUPER sparkley.

This color is Rock Candy

I love rock candy. Especially the pops on the cutsey wooden dowel/stick things with the nub at the end! They remind me of a childhood I never got to have (not that I didnt get to have a childhood, but more that I didnt get to have rock candy ]': ) The color is nice too... (wouldnt it be funny if I left it at that and moved on?) I feel like every set that comes out needs a teal, or has a teal (need is such a strong word). I just kind of wish the teal was one of the jellyish ones instead of the metallic, NOT that I dont like it! I do like it, I just wish it looked more like a gumdrop like the first three... also Im not huge on metallics

This last color is Blueberry Fizz, YUM!

Blueberry Fizz sounds so good... I think I'm going to grab some blueberries on my way to work. This is a great rich periwinkle-ish color. It looks great with the metallic edge and went on smooth in two coats.

Overall, I liked this collection. I have no real issues with it. Its unique enough from my other polishes and it will ease me into this texturing craze thats going on now. By that I mean, these polishes are textured, but they are a toned down jelly and metallic version of Zoya's pixie stuff. The grit isnt too intese, but it provides sparkle and dimension. If you dont win this set go out and buy some, at least Sugar Rush (Sugar Rush! Sugar Rush!) and Crushed Candy, I hear you can get them at Rite Aid.

Good Luck to you all! Please leave me some suggestions for what I should giveaway next time (so far im thinking the bubbly layla polishes IF I CAN FIND THEM DAMMIT!) But otherwise I dont know whats new and upcoming and I need a bit of help... Any suggestions would be great!

GOOD LUCK!

    1. Thanks Cynthia! I bet you'll love that purple too, and probably the orange since your on that orange kick. I dont know how long the texture craze will last but these arent so bad to me... if more subtle ones come out then I can dig it just being another style of polish here to stay.

  17. The only thing that I don't ABSOLUTELY LOVE about this polish, is that my local (and none near me) Rite Aid has NOT stocked it!! This is my favorite textured collection yet & I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to own....any of them really! I'd be doing lots of nail art with them, including rainbows & gumdrops!! lol :)
