WOOT So I said I would have a giveaway because I got my first follower on Day 3 of my Christmas nails! HERE IT IS!!! I bought myself the Illamasqua Christmas Duo and I LOVE them, so I hope you will too!!!
So I didnt really do a Christmas mani... If you've been reading my blog you'll know that I am totally over this project. But I did paint both colors so that you all would know what you were getting!
Those are shots of Viridian a gorgeous shimmery blue green (or a viridian for those of you who know your colors). It applies super smooth in potentially one coat, but I did two. Very smooth, very nice formula, very unique color!
Glitterati is a beautiful deep and vampy red/burgundy. I love how this looks, much thicker than a jelly, this is two thin coats and the glitter can still peek through!
Together these feel like Christmas, but I love them separate like this! Glitterati would be perfect on Valentine's Day, and I am gonna wear the shit out of Viridian through the winter! Great new additions to my collection, and hopefully yours!
Giveaway is below, wish you luck!

Gorgeous! Do want!
ReplyDeleteRight? I saw them at Sephora but after I googled the swatches I knew I had to have them!
DeleteBeejus! I just got this from my brother (OMG HE DOES KNOW THAT NAIL POLISH IS THAT IMPORTANT TO MEEEEEEEEEE!!!). I won't enter since I do have this but I'm going to share it on my FB page. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cynthia! (Isnt it a fabulous set???)
DeleteAwesome!! For one of my many holiday manis, I painted my nails Ruby Pumps by China Glaze except for my ring fingers, which I painted Sally Hansen Celeb City, made a tree with Sally Girl Green, and decorated the tree with OPI Bling Dynasty for the "star" and China Glaze Ray-Diant for the tree ornaments! :)
ReplyDeleteso cute! totally entering! :) thank you cynthia for posting the link!
ReplyDeletei'd love to enter these are gorgeous!! thank you cynthia for posting the link as well!
ReplyDeleteI spent like literally 8 hours last Friday painting my nails just to have a couple of them fall off Christmas day :P I did Christmas trees, dots, stripes, beads, glitter.. nail decals :)
ReplyDeletethanks for letting me know about your giveaway!
Yeah, my Christmas Day (Day 12) completely fell apart too, all the little studs came out and the polish chipped big time (well... more like my nails chipped big time... now two are broken EEK!)
DeleteI went very simple and wore NARS Starflight. I just got engaged(2 weeks before Christmas) and he gave me the polish with my ring because it matches it perfectly! =0)
ReplyDeleteWOW! Congratulations!!! He matched the ring??? Clever fellow.
DeleteCool!!! Thank you for the Giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIs it open International?
ReplyDeleteMy holiday manicure is black base and sponged tips with China glaze Lorelei's tiara.
DeleteI am really sorry, it isnt international... This is my first Giveaway and I should have posted that up front... instead I hid it in the "Terms and Conditions". Very sorry, I will do an international one eventually.
DeleteI have a snow themed idea
ReplyDeletei just use red color since its my fav ^^ oh with gold glitter on tip

Red and green, with Joby Christmas decals
ReplyDeleteWhite base with kb shimmer wrappers delight to top :)
ReplyDeleteSUPER CHRISTMAS GLITTER!!! I may need that one for next year
DeleteRed base with white Christmas trees stamped on with an accent nail of KBShimmer's Candy Cane Crush with red Christmas trees stamped on. Stamping with the new Gals Fairy set.
ReplyDelete- Cassandra Wells
I did one hand red with chunky glitter and the other green with chunky glitter :)
ReplyDeleteHow do you get the polish so close but not quite touching your cuticles?! I can never get it perfect like that
ReplyDeletePerfect?!? Thank you! You should totally see my right hand (not very nice). When I lay the brush down for the first stroke I go for the center and try to get as close as possible then just use that for a guide. If I mess up really bad I will use a brush with acetone to get the rest off... or my favorite trick is to keep an orange stick in the shower and just before I get out I scrub my cuticles with it!
DeleteOh, smart tips! Thanks!
DeleteMy holiday mani was anit-holiday, Orly Fowl Play :o)
ReplyDeleteThese colors are pretty. I have no Illamasqua in my collection, so this duo would be a welcome introduction. :-) No holiday mani this year.
ReplyDeleteno holiday mani and i don't have a blog, but i'm now following you, thanks to cynthia!!! good luck to everyone!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you enjoy and good luck to you!
DeleteMy go-to winter color: Essie Merino Cool! Thanks for this opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI did a really nice white topped off with AEnglands Morgan Le Fay for Newtown Ct. Then for Christmas I just did my favorite red, OPIs Ruby Pumps. :)
ReplyDeleteDamn, I love A England... I still dont have any yet, but they make such pretty polishes. Sounds like clean simple manis!
DeleteI did alternating red and green nails with the Sephora 18k gold topcoat. My middle fingers had the Zoya Gilty 18k flaky topcoat, and then my ring fingers were a white base with an abstract dotted Christmas tree :) I work in retail and all my customers kept freaking out at how festive they were haha
ReplyDeleteI really wanted Gilty, I got the Sephora one instead. I work in retail too! Everyone loves it when you have festive nails!
DeleteI was really sick so I didn't get to do a holiday mani :<
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon!
DeleteI went really simple and used exotic encounters as a base then used I'm not lion over top. It looked great, like a real tree with twinkle lights.
ReplyDeleteI really like I Herd That from that safari collection, but I havent really used it yet. I thought they were too glitter heavy to layer over something else, but now youve give me an idea!
DeleteI have santa stuck in the chimney as an accent with snowflakes on the rest hahaha :D
ReplyDeleteMy holiday mani was CG Little Drummer Boy with CG Cheers to You on my accent nail :)
ReplyDeleteI did a wine red and pine green alternating with white dots for my holiday mani. I did it before my surgery because I knew I wouldn't be able to do much after. It started chipping off two days before Christmas but I at least made an effort to be festive lol.
ReplyDeleteI hope for your speedy recovery!
DeleteAwesome giveaway and prize. I've been eyeing this set!
ReplyDeleteFor my holiday mani, I wore China Glaze's Channelesque, a polish I bought from Cynthia's blog sale on Of Life and Lacquer. She directed me over to this site and I'm loving your pictures!
ReplyDeleteI was eyeing that one. I've bought like 8 polishes from her now... she keeps adding new stuff, Damn her!!! *shakes fist at the heavens* She's such a sweetheart, I'm glad she was able to help me out with this giveaway
DeleteYes! Her blog sale is totally awesome and she really packs her polishes well. I am really loving this Illamasqua set. If I don't win it, I just might head on over to Sephora and buy the set for myself. The red jelly is ah-mazing! I hope I entered the contest correctly. I'm following you as Mavel Golden, but my reply name is MzGolden ---- so I'm confused. Either way, congrats on your growing blog and I'm looking forward to following!
DeleteThank You so much! I wish you luck and hopefully you like what you see here!
DeleteI did candy cane striped nails. :) I was sent by Hello.Lacquer!
ReplyDeleteMy holiday mani was just 3 coats of Sally Hansens Gem Crush in Cha-Ching which is a beautiful christmassy red packed with glitter. I thought it was quite fitting for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh, my co-worker has that one! Its what made me start my 12 nails of xmas... I covet it!
DeleteI wanted this set so bad, saw it on sephora.com but was always sold out! Great swatches. These all look fabulous on you but, I like viridian on you the best! :)
ReplyDelete<3jlynn@hellolacquer
P.S. My NOTD for Christmas was Essie - Leading Lady :)
DeleteThank you so much!!! I like viridian better too, im not much of a red gal... orange is more my thing. I had seen the set on another blog (I wish I could remember which one) but didnt have any trouble getting it myself. I am pissed though, because It went on sale by like 6 bucks and I bought TWO SETS!!! I couldve bought an indie polish with that!
DeleteI am not too far away from you! I am in the panhandle of Nebraska.
ReplyDeleteCOOL! I want to find more nail enthusiasts near me so that I can have a get together or something... or giveaway free mani's!
DeleteLynnderella Happy HoloDaze accent and gradient tips over ChG Blonde Bombshell. :)
ReplyDeleteI did red nails with gold "candy cane" stripes on the ring fingers & a stamped snowflake on the thumbs. ^_^
ReplyDeleteI actually had nothing Christmas related, lol. Was still in the middle of doing polish reviews.
ReplyDeleteI was so sick I didn't have anything on my nails, but I plan on making up for it on NYE!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway!!
I did beautiful blue and white snowflakes
ReplyDeleteI kept meaning to do a non- red and green mani but never got around to it!!! I wanted to do something similar...
DeleteMy Holiday Mani was a combination of Santa's suit and Santa being stuck in a chimney with his legs stick out :)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds super cute!
DeleteVery cool. Love the colors
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway! For Christmas I used China Glaze Running In Circles and China Glaze Party Hearty. I wear Party Hearty every Christmas. I'm Sarah Vaughn. I don't know why it doesn't show up as that.
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas mani was a santa suit on each nail.
ReplyDeleteI did packages with the zoya ornate colors! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Zoya... They were my first favorite polish!
DeleteI did christmas green glitter with red glitter tips!
ReplyDeleteSanta on one hand and a 2 week mani on my other LOL! :P
ReplyDeleteSanta's suit and hat!
ReplyDeleteI did a series of snowmen, Christmas trees, red, green, gold, and white glitters!
ReplyDeleteI had OPI "Mod about you" on with vintage roses. That is the best kind :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, That sounds super pretty... Pics? email them if youve got'em
Deletei wore just be claus (by lacquerhead) on christmas eve.. on christmas i wore ruby pump with extra red glitter and did bright silver glittery tips =]
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous colors! And super unique! I love that they look super pigmented in just two coats.
ReplyDeleteYOu could even do viridian in one if it was thick and you were patient!
DeleteI had holiday gift nails :3 Love these colors btw <3
ReplyDeleteHoliday jelly sandwich with OPI DOn't Touch My Tutu and Kawaii Sleigh Bells :)
ReplyDeleteI did a pale blue as my base and stamped on white snowflakes and of course added some sparkles. :)
ReplyDeleteI did hand painted silver snowflakes on a metallic pink to match a pright pink christmas bow ring that I wanted to wear!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds super cute!!!
DeleteLynnderella Snow Angel :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't have time to do anything.
ReplyDeleteOPI Green-wich Village and China Glaze Party Hearty
ReplyDeleteMy nails were naked on Christmas! I had a bunch of splits and peeling, so I chopped my nails down to nubbins, and have been giving them a few weeks of nudity to heal up.
ReplyDeleteI didn't manage to get a mani this holiday.... :( but I will if I win!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway!

I did blue nails with a glitter snowflake.
ReplyDeletethanks for great giveaway!!!
Want these soo badly. Thanks for an awesome giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I did a holiday drip mani!
ReplyDeleteI used OPI Gettin Miss Piggy with it, Fresh Frog of Belair, and a Milani gold glitter all mixed together :)
ReplyDeleteI put Essie's "Leading Lady" over black and it turned out really great. I was quite pleasantly surprised!
ReplyDeleteGlitterati *swoon* Beautiful! For Christmas I wore Different Dimensions "I've Been An Angel All Year." Of course then some poly cane nail decorating sticks was in my stocking, so I totally played with it (and had some major fails too! :-P )
ReplyDeleteCG Ruby Pumps...I'm super creative (ha ha). Seriously, though, it's a great holiday color. This time around, I accented the end of my ring finger with Zoya Electra to make it look like Santa's white fur trim. I'm a big fan of Zoya Electra.
ReplyDeleteBright red with a gold glitter accent :) and for NYE.. multicolor glitter!
ReplyDeleteSince this holiday was me and hubby I actually gave my nails a day off :)
ReplyDeleteTake Care,
Mandy Jean
